Guru Geetha || 1 - 70 ||

Meaning: - Birth is like a forest we seem to wander like an insane person. We bow down to that GURU who has shown the way for our lost mind.

Slavery was a much cursed practice. This was because an individual is born free and he is not ought to be bonded by someone. But even after centuries of abolishing slavery man is still imprisoned. This imprisonment may not a physical but a psychological one. Most of our practices are based on what the world is following and not what is appropriate for us. Thus our mind becomes a slave to the thinking pattern of world. We don’t dare to go against the flow. For e.g. a student who is proficient in arts is forced to take an engineering or medical studies because of the pressure of environment.

Set yourself free of clutches of this maddening world. We are entangled ones. To set ourselves free we need someone who is not tied to the material world. Guru is the only person who can liberate us. In the above verse the birth is compared to a forest where the Guru shows the way for our lost mind.

The life of Janabhai was one such blessed with Guru’s grace. Janabhai- a small girl had come to Pandharpur to see Lord Vittal. She was not accompanied by any one. She was much engrossed in watching Lord Vittal and was fully involved in singing and dancing to the tune of Lord Vittal’s Bhajan.

Sant Namdev was a renowned Sathguru in Pandharpur. He was astonished to see the enthusiasm of the small girl Janabhai. Sant Namadev went near that small girl and asked whi she was. The small girl wittly replied “I am Child of Panduranaga—Janabhai.” Sant Namadev was happy to hear that the small girl calls himself the child of Lord Vittal. Sant Namdev asked about her parents. Quickly she replied “Lord Vittal is my father and mother. I am not alone. Lord Vittal is always with me.”

The belief that child has on Lord Vittal we grown-ups fail to have. We always seem to gumble that we have no one for support but fail to understand thhe fact that Bagawan is always with us, whis the small girl Janabhai had well established in her mind. Janabhai began to stya at Sant Namdev’s house and used to do Kaingariam (service).

In the course of her stay at Sant Namdev’s place- the sathguru bestowed upon her all blessings anf made her aprecious stone which radiated love for Lord Vittal. One day it was raining heavily. Lord Vittal drenching in the rain protected Sant Namdev’s house which otherwise would have dissolve in the rain. Sant Namdev came to knew about it and invited Lord Vittal inside the house and urged Lord Vittal to change wet cloths.

No spare cloth being available Lord Vittal wore the garments of Janabhai. Lord Vittal and Sant Namdev were engrossed in chat and Janabhai carried on with her daily chores. Janabhai wished that Lord Vittal should talk to her. While she was thinking so Lord Vittal came to the place where Janabhai was seated grinding the flour. Seeing Lord Vittal Janabhai was delighted. We need to appreciate the Bhakti of Janabhai which pulled Lord Vittal to her place. Lord Vittal helped Janabhai in grinding the flour. Lord Vittal used to write the abhajas composed by Janabhai.

In many more instances Janabhai experienced the bliss of Lord Vittal. This all was possible only due to the grace of Sathguru-Sant Namdev. Without a right guidance of Sathguru Janabhai would not have been able to intermingle with Lord Vittal in such a way.

' short stories to regain your faith '

We always ignore the beautiful gifts of Bagawan. We aim for those happenings which are futuristic in nature. In management lectures and motivational talks people say life should be taken as it comes. Live in present and don’t think about past or future. But adapting to such practice may not be as easy as it is been said. When faith on Bagawan is foundation life seems to be so smooth. All idealistic behavior expected from an individual becomes a part of life. This is because love for Bagawan teaches us to live the life the way He would cherish.

How do we develop an intimate relation with Bagawaan so that all things best things in life follow? A Guru is the one feeds the love for Bagawan, the more we hear of Bagawan’s Leelas and His Grace the deeper would be the faith implanted in our hearts. Achyutha Priyaa brings outs small stories to regain your faith in Bagawaan Shri Krishna.

In a village there was a person not rich enough. He used to curse Bagawaan for not his state and not helping him to rise out of poverty. Goddess Laxmi being merciful asked Bagawaan to shower His grace on the poor chap. Bagawaan replied that eventhough I am ready to pour grace on Him He is not in a state to accept it. Goddess Laxmi did not agree to Bagawaan’s saying. To convince Goddesss Laxmi Bagawaan decided to put a bag full of wealth, gold, precious stone etc on the path the poor person was walking.

Till then the person was walking in a normal manner. Suddenly a thought came to his mind ‘If I were blind how would I walk.’ So he started walking with closed eyes. The booty lying at his feet was ignored by him and he crossed the bag. Had the person not used his brain of acting like a blind person he would have gained the booty.

We would say the person was foolish but many times even we indulge in such illogical thinking like, what would happen if had missed the bus/train we go into all negative aspects of the events, how would I react in XYZ situation. This is what happens with us. God has planned something for us we ignore that and try to find our own path and when we fail to succeed all blames are put on Bagawaan for not helping us.  Understanding the divine message and interpreting it in a correct manner is the key to our happy life.   Radhekrishna

'power of divine grace'

Radhekrishna my Pranams to Guruji Amma and our Guruji -Mahan Brarhma Shri Gopalavallidasar. Under the shade of Guruji's grace my life blooms with buds of happiness. Each day in life is accomplished by blessings of our Guruji. I can proudly say that Guruji has helped in leading a fulfilled life. I am not an ideal disciple but my Guruji has always been pouring His grace on me.

I am glad to share a small incidence with you all. I take the suburban trains for commuting to office. Usually the trains are crowed in the evening and it becomes a little strenuous to commute. One evening I boarded the train and while I was doing so someone's nail hurt my eye. Initially I didn't care about it. But after some time my vision got blurred and I experienced an itching sensation in my eyes. Then I realized that my lenses were displaced. (I use soft lenses to correct my short sight vision.) I was sure that my lenses were lost and I didn't even make an attempt to search for it. To my surprise after some time I found that the lenses were just on my cheeks. Usually I don't carry the lens case with me but that day it was in my bag and I was able to place the lenses in the case. The train was relatively not crowed so it gave some room to handle the  lenses properly.

I didn't even call for a help but Guru's grace didn't let me down. No matter what the situation be Guru's grace will always protect us. This would be a very minor incidence but it reassures the power of Guru. I will infinitely be indebted to Guruji.

'sathsang programmes''

Guruji's Satthsang in Mumbai is going on very well. Guruji's Mumbai Sathdang strated with Divine Kalyaanam (Marriages). Mumabi devotees got to hear  five divine Kalyaanam namely Rukmini, Sita, Andaal, Radha and Padmavati Kalyaaanam. Each Kalyaanam was celebrated in a grand manner with lot excitement. Guruji told the true meaning of the bond of marriage. The manner in which wife and Husband should behave to make the marriage a successful one and experience the divine bliss. The festival of Kalyaanam were concluded with Bhajans on the following day.

It was really blissful for Mumbai devotees to attend five divine marriages in a row. It was Guru's grace to bring all devotees together to enjoy the delightful event. Sri Andaal's saying of "Kudi irundu kulirndelor embavaai" proved to be true.

Guruji's next Sathsang in Mumbai were on Ramanujar's Vaibhavam. These Sathsangs brought out the pains taken by a Guru to uplift a disciple. In Ramnujar's Vaibhavam Guruji also explained the greatness of Sathsisyaas like Kongilpiratti, Mudhaliandan, Umai Vaishanavar. These discourses also brought into light the misconceptions in the minds of disciples.

Guruji along with Mumbai devotes are going to Pandharpur on 12th Feb and would be returning on 15th Feb. From 15th February till 24th February Guruji's Sathasng on Thirukoloor Pennpillai Rahasyam will continue at Sathoshi Mata Mandir, Dombivili(West).
