Verse 7 Chapeter 2 Srimad Bagawath Geetha

In the second chapter of Bagawat Gita, Verse 7 Arjuna says, “My natural qualities are taken over by weakness and anxiety and my thinking is confused regarding righteousness. I am asking you to please state what is definitely good for me. I am your disciple, surrendered to you, kindly instruct me.

We would have gone through many situations in life where we felt there is no option left out. It would be a miracle we if get out of it. During such times, we feel depressed and curse ourselves to be the unfortunate ones, having no power to come out of it.

Same was the situation of Arjuna in the battlefield of Kurushetra.  His own Guru and cousins standing on the other side made him tremble. He was interrogating himself as to how he will wage a war against his know ones. He was totally shaken by the emotions and lost his confidence for fighting a fair battle. All these confusions and queries rose in his mind in spite of the fact that Bagwaan Shri Krishna was the One riding his chariot.

It’s same with us. Bagwaan Shri Krishna is so close us, but forgetting Him we get lost in the worldly worries.  We even don’t turn back and ask help to Bagwan Krishna who is always waiting to serve us. Our duty is to just bend and ask for help. Once done so, life would be just miraculous.

Same way Aruja having no option left out, surrendered himself to Bagwaan Shri Krishna. He says, his virtues and qualities are of no use. He is completely surrendering himself to Bagwaan Shri Krishna as disciple. And begs Bagwaan to instruct him and show the path.

Short stories to regain your faith

Thirikoolur Pennpillai continues her effort in making Swami Ramanujar convince her reason for leaving Thirikoolur. Now she say “Aaraindu vitheno Thrirumaiseazhwaar polle” (Did I do research about the Supreme one like Thrirumaiseazhwaar)

When Thrirumaiseazhwaar was born  he was without any organs. His parents considered the new born to be of no use so decided to abandon it. But Supreme Lord has some other plans, he had blessed the abandoned new born with organs and sprouted the life in it.  A person picking bamboo pieces cam by the way where this abandoned child was lying. Seeing that child being left alone, he was very happy. He took the child in his hands and went back to home and gave it to his wife. They both started to take care o0f the child.

But his child did not behave in a normal way as other children would do. The child did not cry, did not eat, and was just lying as it was. The child was engaged in meditation of the Supreme One. Spiritual quest of Thrirumaiseazhwaar kept busy in researching each and every (maadam) school of spiritual belief and disciplines within it. At one point of time Thrirumaiseazhwaar had concluded that Shiva tatva (principle) is the Supreme One and nothing was above it.

PayeAzhwaal  (one the twelve azhwaar), came to know about the conclusion of Thrirumaiseazhwaar. In a garden which was in front of Thrirumaiseazhwaar, PayeAzhwaal started planting, plants upside down, i.e. the roots were facing towards the sky and the plants branches inside the ground. Then adding to this, PayeAzhwaal also started drawing water in a broken pot, with torn ropes from the well. Seeing all these foolish like work, Thrirumaiseazhwaar questioned PayeAzhwaal, what kind of foolish work he was doing. This question aroused the interest of PayeAzhwaal, and he counter questioned as to who was foolish. Thrirumaiseazhwaar, strongly said, “You only seem to be a fool, planting plants upside down, drawing water in broken pot etc“. To this PayeAzhwaal quickly replied, “At least these kind of mistakes can be rectified later, but your conclusion of about Supreme Lord is more foolish.”

Explaining further PayeAzhwaal said, “ The act of mine planting the upside down is an example of you considering the one to be Supreme Lord which is actually not the one. Mine another act of carrying water in a broken pot is an example of yours entering and researching all (maadam) school of spiritual belief and sect, without no concrete outcome. And my last act of using torn rope is symbolizes your act of acquiring incomplete knowledge in bits and pieces and framing incorrect opinion”

These powerful words of PayeAzhwaal, had completelty shaken Thrirumaiseazhwaar and he had decided once for all to be a follower of Lord Vishnu. He had gone further and went to become one of the prominent Azhwaar .

Referring this incidence Thirikoolur Pennpillai, says whether she had ever researched who the Supreme One was. Hearing such great words from Thirikoolur Pennpillai, Swami Ramanujar was surprised and blessed her for all those golden and invaluable words.

The power of divine grace

Radhekrishna,

Pranams to Guruji Amma and Guruji,

With the blessings of Guruji and Guruji Amma, I would like to share my experience with others.

This incident happened last month. I completed my SYBSc from Birla College, Kalyan this year and wanted to complete my TYBSc from Ruia College, Matunga. But I took the decision to change the college very late and the chances of getting admission in Ruia College were remote.

Before getting admission, I had to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Birla College. However there was hardly any chance of obtaining NOC from Birla College as it was already June 5 and the TYBSc lectures were to start from June 8.However with Guruji and Guruji Amma’s krupai, all the required formalities for NOC including various signatures from all departments of the college were completed in a day. Contrary to this, some other friends of mine had to wait for a week to obtain NOC. I took admission in Ruia College the next day and a day after, my college started .Even a day’s delay would have cost dearly.

Such experiences again and again prove that Guruji Amma and Guruji are always with us to guide us always.
