  GURU MAHIMA

' hymns in praise of guru '

                                     Sloka:

Saat samundar masi kare, lekhani sab banraay
dharati sab kaagad kare, guru gun likha na jaay.

                                                                                            Sant Kabir Das

Meaning:

Sevens seas turned to ink, into pen all forest,
all earth a sheet of paper, glory of guru can't be written yet.

Explanation:

Imagine you been very hungry and were starving for hours and you are offered to eat your favorite food. If some one asks you to describe the experience the only word you can say was superb, excellent, hmmm. We are not able to explain a small thing that enthralls our taste buds. How can we even try elucidating the glory of guru who gives us unbound happiness to our whole body, mind and soul?

We people have the tendency of always praising about the things that we liked and recommend it to others. For e.g. if we would have bought a good pair of shoes at a nice discount, then we would persuade every one to buy from the shop. The value, which we receive for money paid creates such a rippling effect that unknowingly we advertise about the shop. The blessings and the grace of Guru are invaluable and priceless. So it is inevitable for a disciple to go on admiring Him and still he would feel that whatever he has said about His Guru is less.

Its a well-agreed fact that happiness is a state of mind. When we are happy we are lost in our own world. We dont like anyone disturbing us in that state. Our expressions cannot be bound in words. If a worldly happiness, which we very well know that it, is going to exist for few moments has a power to make us forget the world, then the glory of Guru who gives superior happiness cant be written by sevens seas turned to ink, all pen turned into forest, all earth turned into a sheet of paper. And this definitely not an exaggeration. This can be realized only if you attain a Sathguru.

The verse clearly tells the magnificence of Guru without actually praising Him. When the great Kabir Das himself fails to fully describe the glory of a Sathguru we the ones drowned in material world are incapable to do so.

ACHYUTHA PRIYAA

' short stories to regain your faith '

A ship sails smoothly unless it faces a storm and gets distracted. The same way our mind would be calm and quiet till it is stimulated by some happenings. We curse the happenings instead of understanding that our mind was weak enough to succumb to those happenings. For e.g. The moment you hear someone getting a good job  you start calculating that he/she doesnt deserve that job, if I would have applied I would have surely got it, I can work better that him/her and so on the thinking goes. A strong mind would never go into such analysis.

Every event and every incidence is a test to determine the strength of our mind. We should be like a rock standing still amid the gushing water and not like a pebble flowing with the water. To fortify ourselves we need a doctor called Sathguru and medicine called Namajabam. The continuous  intake of the medicine and strict observation of doctors instruction is sure to make us strong.

A short recap of story so far in Achyutha Priyaa:-

A king and minister one night see two beggars, one was begging praising the Lords Name and other praising  the king. The king decides to make the latter one a rich person. He invites all beggars for a feast gives that beggar a pumpkin stuffed with precious stones, jewels etc and others a small amount of Rupees five. After some days the king sees the beggar praising the Lord to have become rich person and the other beggar still remains poor.

The king being curious asks the beggar (rich man), How did you become so rich you were  supposed to be a beggar sometimes  ago? To that the person humbly replied Every thing is due to Bagawaan Krishnas grace. The token of five rupees given by you on the feast day was saved by me. I had gone to the market to buy vegetables, with five rupees I would buy only a pumpkin. When I came back and cut the pumpkin I found precious stones, jewels, cash etc. soon I realized it was Bagawaan  Krishnas Leela and thanked Him whole heartedly. He never lets His devotees down. With His grace I am well off today.

The king being desperate  asked the other beggar, What did you do with the pumpkin I gave. The beggar replied I found the pumpkin to be worthless so I sold that in the market. The king realized that glory of Bagawaan Krishna. It is Bagawaan Krishna who decides everything. It is as per His wish the earth rotates, the sun shines, the plants grow  etc. We human beings are unfit, whatever we do is with errors and imperfection. For e.g. the science and development on one side had made human life a leisure but on other hand problems of pollution and environmental degradation has also cropped up. But Bagawaan Krishnas creation are perfect and the best. Take for example our own body its so perfectly designed to intake food, water air which when converted gives us energy to work play etc and let out the unwanted. There can be no comparison to Bagawaan Krishnas creation.

We have to hammer in our mind that we are incompetent and have to surrender to Bagawaan Krishna and resort to His Nama. Only this can bring us peace and prosperity both materially and spiritually. Keep on chanting until we come with another Achyutha Priyaa.

HRUDAYAANJALI

' power of divine grace '

Radhekrishna    I with the blessings of our revered GurujiAmma and Guruji, would like to share my experiences, after joining Radhekrishna Satsangam with everyone.

Initially, I did not have much of an interest in attending bhajans and sathsangams. But still, I used to be extremely happy the time I spent with Guruji.  I would feel some kind of fulfillment within my soul, whenever Guruji was around me.I

would not understand why whenever I went to take Gurujis blessings, Guruji would just tell me to chant Radhekrishna.

During that period, I had given my std 10th Board exams and was awaiting my results. The results were declared and I secured an aggregate 649 marks out of 750, that is 86.53%. I applied for admission in a few reputed colleges. I was confident that I would get admission in any one of these colleges.  But I was dumbstruck to find that I could not make it to the first admission list of those colleges, except Birla College.

It was the only college, where, by Guruji Ammas grace, my marks could find a place in the cutoff marks. But, even then my name did not appear in the list of

the students making it to the 1st list. I was horrified. I just kept on chanting radhekrishna and went to the computer department. On explaining my situation, the in charge of the dept went through his records once again and realized that, my marks had been entered as 549 instead of 649, by mistake.

I wanted to secure admission for vocational Group in Science Group (Electronics) but fell short of marks, I had almost lost hope. But the smallest of the small rays

of hope in my mind urged me to chant Radhekrishna constantly which I did rather half mindedly. Once again, Guruji Ammas blessings turned wonders for me, as the vacancy of the seats for vocational course was increased

and I could make it to the course.

Later on, I realized that it was Guruji Ammas blessings n disguise which helped me from joining any other college. Had I joined any other college, I would have

to shell out Rs. 30000 for two years, Rs 20000 more than the fees in Birla College, which my parents could not have afforded.

From that incident, I have completely realized the importance of chanting. In these past two years, Gurujis and Guruji Ammas blessings have always been with me during any time of crisis and helped me overcome it. Radhekrishna!!!!
