Guru Kumbhar Shish Kumbh Hai
Gadi Gadi Kadhe Khot
Andar Haat Savar De
Bahar Mare Chot

                  Sant Kabir Das

 Meaning:

A Guru is like a potter (earthman) and a disciple is like a pot. A potter hits the pot from outside and provides every support from within.

We tend to believe in only those things that we see; this is the reason perhaps why we tend to miss out many wonderful things. But to have blind faith on the Supreme Power i.e. Bagawan Shri Krishna does not come so naturally. A guru is needed to instill in us that faith. What definition can Guru bring in our lives? He can be compared to a lamp which removes darkness or a sculptor who gives definition to stone or the rain which turns the earth into green pasture.

Guru in the above verse is rightly described as Potter who hits the Pot i.e. disciple but Provides the support from inside. This support is indeed what makes the disciple strong enough to win this world. The course of making the pot may seem to be difficult; the potter puts the pot through various tough processes like thumping, baking etc. It is this same process which makes the pot adorable after it is completed. Same way a Guru moulds his disciples rigorously, and the disciple who passes these tests of Guru emerges as refined person respected by others.

There is indeed a difference between the one who has attained Sathguru and the one who is yet to attain a Guru. The difference won’t be apparent but the distinction lies in the way they are content from their life and the happiness which they enjoy inside themselves each moment. The qualities which a Guru inculcates in a sishyaa remain immortal and are embedded in them in all subsequent lives (janmas). These qualities of a sishiyaa do not only serve the personal benefit but also serve the benefit of the society at large.

Swami Ramanujar the great Aachraya of Vaishnava Sampraday had created so many Satshiyaas. One of them was Mudhaliandan. He was a learned scholar, well-versed in all Vedas, yet a humble sishyaa of Swami Ramanujar. On the instructions of Swami Ramanujar, Mudhaliandan served as a domestic help.  This itself seems to be an astonishing thing because any learned scholar will not be ready to go down below his level. A self created ego comes in our way when we are told to do things not in line with our status. But Mudhaliandan was unaffected by these factors. This is where an ordinary person and disciple of Guru differ.

Once Swami Ramanujar along with His disciples including Mudhaliandan were touring various places spreading the divine message, conducting Sathsangs and bhajans. In a certain village the people were not tending to accept the divine messages of Swami Ramanujar and seemed to be very arrogant in their approach. Seeing this Swami Ramanujar instructed Mudhaliandan to sit with his legs dipped in the village pond for a day.

The following day the villagers realized their mistake of ignoring such a great Aacharya Swami Ramanujar and became His disciples. Introspecting later, one realizes that it was due to Mudhaliandan that the villagers’ mindset changed. Mudhaliandan’s divine power was transferred into the pond; the water of the same pond was consumed by the villagers which made such a dramatic change.

This incident itself proves the significance of Guru’s power which is rooted in the shisyaas.

' short stories to regain your faith '

In our last issue we saw how the pirates dressed up as merchants started bidding the girls for sale as slaves.

Bhakthi wins ultimately. Whatever happens we shouldn’t lose our hope and faith in Lord. Lord alone is there to help us. Mother Sita was imprisoned by Ravana the rakshasa with wrong intentions. She was kept under the strict observation of the rakshasis. She had no one to help her but her only support and strength at that time was the nama of Lord Rama. She kept on chanting Rama nama when among the rakshasis. Ravana couldn’t even touch her. She was there for almost 12 months. But his intentions failed. Her bhakthi won.

The bidding was going on. Though the girls were attractive nobody had till now offered them their bid price. As the pirate thought of reducing the bid rate in his hurry to give them off and go away with the money an old King from somewhere came there unexpectedly.  It is true that Krishna will land up in the most unexpected way.

Akroora was working for Kamsa whose sole intention was to kill krishna. There was nobody to support Akroorars Krishna bhakthi. But he didn’t leave his hold on the Lotus Feet of Bagawan. He had a staunch belief that one day or other Krishna will surely shower His grace on him.  And see what happened! It was Kamsa who himself asked him to go to Brindavan to bring Krishna. Krishna will fetch us help even through our enemies. We only have to wait for His grace and do chanting sincerely.

He saw the two girls stranded among the wicked men. It was a strange sight.  Two pretty girls who seemed to hail from a good family background standing with the villain looking people looked most unnatural for him. He felt pity for them. Suddenly he developed love, not lust for the girls. He decided to save them from the situation and bought them giving the money they demanded.

The king took the girls with him to his palace. The queen was surprised to see 2 young beautiful girls coming with the king. When she enquired the king told her that as they didn’t have any issues, God has been kind enough to gift them with these two children. The queen was spared of the difficulty of carrying the babies in the womb or taking care of the infants etc. Hearing these words the queen was extremely happy. If our prayer is sincere and deserving, God will fulfill it in the best way possible.

Haseena and Hamida started shedding tears thinking of Krishna’s grace. Weren’t they rescued from such a terrible situation as hell!  Krishna is indeed great!  They were happy that Krishna had saved them.

Flow of God’s grace is same for everybody. It is the receiving end that decides the quantity to be enjoyed. We forget that and keep blaming Bagawan that He is not kind to us. He sheds his grace to each individual according to his needs only. We greatly misunderstand that. Remember prasadams (offerings) of different temples are different. That can never be same. But the fact remains that they are all His prasadam. Each and every incident in our life is a lesson for us to make us mature enough.

The king and the queen were pleased to have the gift of two grown up young girls as their children. Haseena and Hameeda were astonished by the grace of Krishna even before their entering Brindavan.

For knowing more about Haseena and Hameeda do wait till our next issue. Radhe Krishna.

Radhekrishna

With Guruji Amma's and Guruji's Blessings adiyal would like to share the Krupai of Guruji Amma and Guruji that showered on me.  Radhekrishna.

With Guruji's Krupai I got an opportunity to work in a company in Pune.As i was a new joinee i had to undergo a training of two months.I used to go to my work place in auto as it was very close to the place which i got to stay with Guruji's Krupai. As the training got over i was allocated to a project and was shifted to another branch in Pune. The workplace now was very far from my place.  It was only because of Guruji's immense Krupai that i used to get some or the other means to go to that place.

My manager asked me to shift my place if it was possible for me.As there were very limited transport faclty to reach to that place.  I did not wanted to shift as i had got satsangam friends of mine staying at that place.

I had no other option but to travel by the public transport bus.  The first day when i was standing at the bus stop i could see a large crowd waiting for the bus.  Then after sometime the bus came but it was fully crowded and many people were hanging out of the bus.  So i left the bus and like this i was standing in the bus stop for an hour and at last by Guruji's Krupai i Got a bus which was also crowded but it was managable to get in to the bus.  I was so tiered that I started praying Guruji that Please give me a seat to sit.  The moment i prayed a person sitting near  asked me to sit.  i felt that Guruji is wtih me.  I was very happy.

The next day also the same routine continued.  While going to office i used to get an Auto but while coming it was very difficult.  I started praying but now my prayer was changed i didnt asked Guruji to give me a seat to sit but said that "Gurrji enaku edu nalado adu panungo."(Guruji do what is god for me).  Then i just forgot of those traveling difficulties and had a faith that Guruji will surely do what is good for me.

The next day when i came to office i new boy had joined our team and as we spoke he asked me "How do you go to your place?"

and i replied him that i find it very difficult to go to my place.  He said me "its not at all a problem. There is an office shuttle which goes to that place and you can go in that very confortably".  i was surprised for a second and then felt very happy.  from that day onwards i come by that office vehicle very comfortably.

It was only and only due to Guruji's Krupai.  I dont have any words to say HIS Krupai.  Guruji always says that Even after having thousand mouth the Great Adishesha cannot speak Lords Krupai.  Thats really true nobody can tell Guru's Krupai.

I didnt do anything.  I never went to someone and asked if i could get some other alternatives.  I never even thought that I can get something else to get to my place.  I jsut left all the things to Guruji and forgot about that.  But Guruji gave me the best.  radhekrishna

'sathsang programmes''

Radhekrishna. Guruji's Bangalore trip from 22nd Oct to 28th Oct was superb. All the devotees enjoyed Guruji's sathsangam a lot. The sapthaham was so different. Each time Guruji does sathsangam on Bagavatha Sapthaham it comes in a different manner. The devotees enjoyed Guruji's sathsangam and wished to hear more.

Then Guruji went to Tutucorin. The Tutucorin devotees are blessed to hear sathsangam from Guruji so frequently. Guruji did sathsangam on Gopalamuththucharangal. Sounds different ! ! ! It included the devotees of Bagawan Krishna like Haseena Hameeda , Meerabai, Sakhubai, Poonthanam etc. The sathsangam was so different and fantabulous. The devotees enjoyed Guruji's sathsangam a lot. Whenever Guruji said something which would touch their hearts they would clap their hands in between the sathsangam. Such is our Guruji ! ! ! The devotees were overjoyed by Guruji's sathsangam. Our Guruji is incompatible.

There is a very good news for all the devotees of Radhekrishna sathsangam. By the grace of Gurujiamma, Radhekrishna sathsangam has launched a Cd  of Guruji's sathsangam which includes superb and different sathsangams of Guruji as well as a magazine called

Bhakthiyum Bhakthanum Bagavanum. This is indeed a pleasant surprise for all devotees. And the Tutucorin devotees are blessed as it was launched in Tutucorin.

There are more surprises for all the devotees. Wait till tomorrow for the surprise.
