GURU
MAHIMA
'
hymns in praise of guru '
Being the special issue of Gokul
aashtami we continue with last month’s sloka said by Bagawan Shri
Krishna Himself in praise of Guru.
"Naaham ijyaa
prajaathibyaam thapasopashamena vaa
thushyeyam
sarva bhoothaathmaa gurushushrooshayaa yathaa"
{
Srimath Baagawatham - 10-2/80/34 }
Meaning:
Bagawan Shri Krishna says "Being
Antharyaami of everyone the satisfaction I get by Gurukaingaryam
(service) is not the same as in case of practice of celibacy (brahmacharyam),
meditation, yagya, house holder (gruhastha dharma) or sanyasam."
Explanation:
The common understanding
about devotion or spirituality is related to rituals and rights.
Blind recitation of slokas, going to temple, observing fast, doing
pujas and abhishekas is what falls under the definition of devotion.
But the very act of doing puja or yagya seems to be burden. Practice
of rituals, mediation, etc involves lot of effort and is tedious.
Perhaps this is the reason why most of us remain away from
spirituality.
For instance if a puja
is to be conducted what comes in mind are many issues such as
whether all friends and relatives have come, whether all necessary
arrangements have been made properly, whether the food is cooked
appropriately, will the puja get over in time …. In this confusion
we forget the most important one i.e. Bagawaan –the one who has to
be given the utmost care. Then how we expect the puja or yagya to be
fruitful. But Bagawan Shri Krishna is so generous that forgetting
our mistakes he pours His mercy on us.
We
think that it is very difficult to satisfy Bagawan Shri Krishna but
it is not so. Bagawan Himself has said in
Srimath Baagawatham that
Guru Kaingaryam easily satisfies Him rather that tiresome practice
of celibacy (brahmacharyam), meditation, yagya, house holder (gruhastha
dharma) or sanyasam. There are many secrets hidden behind doing Guru
Kaingaryam.
While doing Guru Kaingaryam our mind,
intellect and body gets involved in that work. Without even our
knowledge we start mediating upon Guru. On doing so our
antharyaami(inner soul ) blooms with happiness because it is Guru
who is our true well-wisher. Meditating on Guru is considered as
highest form of meditation.
A guru being rain pours his shower of
blessings on us. We can never payback whatever He Has given us. But
Guru Kaingaryam gives us an opportunity to express our gratitude
towards him. If we observe, most of our energy is spent in doing
purposeless work but Guru Kaingaryam is way by which we can make our
lives more meaningful. People visit various temples and take bath in
Punya Rivers to get rid of sins and earn punya. Guru Kaingaryam
itself is enough to cleanse all our sins and earn us Bagawan’s
grace.
When Guru Kaingaryam itself has so much
significance then the Mahima of Guru Himself is unexplainable.
'
short stories to regain your faith '
IIIt is we who
determine our way of life. Even though we may argue that our
surrounding and people around us influence us but it is our mind
which plays a key role. A winning attitude in life will make us win
the life. Winning in life is like solving an arithmetic problem till
the final answer is reached we keep on trying.
Come what may we should
stand still like a rock. Our life is like the tides. In times of
happiness its high and in times of sorrow its low. An attitude
should be developed to view both happy and sorrow with same
magnitude. This may seem to be very theoretical and philosophical.
But this becomes a way of life once we continuously chant Bagawan’s
Naama.
Our anticipation about
life remains just as a desire. When our expectation remains only as
a desire we live in the world of imagination and dreams and our wish
doesn’t turn into reality. Our expectation should turn into prayer
and penance. The small boy in our story had made his life a penance
by constantly mediating on Gopal Anna. People surrounding him
including his teacher did not believe in Gopal Anna but the small
boy was very sure about Gopal Anna. A firm foundation of faith
should be laid in our heart. This foundation will help us reach the
sky.
The small boy’s teacher
was disagreeing on existence of any Gopal Anna. To prove him wrong
the small boy agreed to introduce Gopal Anna to the teacher. The
small boy was very excited as for the first time he got an
opportunity to introduce Gopal Anna to someone. The small boy felt
like revealing a secret which till now he had kept to himself and
was enjoying it alone. He was calculating in his mind how his
teacher would praise the virtue of Gopal Anna after meeting him. The
small boy was very sure that he would be proved right.
As the day got over the
teacher and the boy proceed towards the woods to meet Gopal Anna.
The teacher was convinced that the small boy would lose. The
teacher’s arrogance was well reflected in his walk and gestures. As
they were nearing the forest the small boy was getting even more
enthusiastic.
Finally they reached
the forest. Impatiently the teacher said, “Where is your Gopal Anna
I can’t see anyone.”
Boy replied, “Wait, I
have yet to call Him.”
Teacher unpleasantly
said, “Call Him soon I can’t be waiting long.”
The small boy in a
sweet melodious voice called, “Gopal Anna where are you its me here.
Come help me cross the forest.”
Gopal Anna appeared in
front of boy and whispered, “See I have come let’s go.”
No sooner did Gopal
Anna come the boy in the mood of triumph said, “See here is my sweet
Gopal Anna I told you that I was not bluffing now that I have shown
you my Gopal Anna I prove myself right.”
Hearing this teacher
got even more confused and said, “Again you are bluffing I can see
no one here expect you and me.” The small boy got shocked and said,
“You accept your defeat here is Gopal Anna in front of you and you
say you cannot see any one. See how beautifully my Gopal Anna is
standing.” The teacher firmly said, “I don’t have any reasons to
lie. I really can’t see any one you are wasting my time, let me go
and you cross the forest with your Gopal Anna.
With a small grin on
His lips Gopal Anna was hearing the whole conversation. The small
boy turned to Gopal Anna and cried, “Why my teacher is not able to
see you. He is thinking that I am lying about you. You have to prove
me right. I know that you can’t see me in a troubled situation.
Please for my sake prove yourself to my teacher.”
The request of small
boy melted Gopal Anna’s heart and He appeared in front of teacher in
form of Bagawan Shri Krishna with dark complexion and lotus like
toes, fingers and lips. The teacher was not ready to believe his own
eyes. Then that he realized the true power of Gopal Anna and the
truth in small boy’s words.
Enjoy the bliss of
Gopal Anna till we come with next Aachyutha Priyaa.

power of divine grace '
Namaskarangal to my Guruji and Guruji
Amma
My life was very drastic
and boring before I joined RADHEKRISHNA SAThSANGAM. With Lord
Krishna’s Grace and Guruji’s Krupai my life changed and I can feel
it very nicely. After hearing many satsangam and taking Mantra
Upadesam from Guruji I started chanting Krishna's name with Guru
Krupai.
It was January 2006 on
which I got an experience with Guruji’s Grace that made me realize
the Power of chanting (“Krishna” NamaSankeertanam).
I and my friend were
coming from college at noon time from Thane to Dombivli by Titwala
train. There was not that much rush in the train, but there were no
seats to sit and I was having a heavy book with me. So I kept the
book on to the train’s upper tray and was standing and talking to my
friend. The Train reached Dombivli Station and we got out of train
without having any thinking about the book.
After coming into
platform staircase, I realized that I have forgotten to take the
book. By that time the train had already left the platform. I became
afraid and started chanting and prayed to Lord Krishna that – I
don’t know anything, you have to help me, u have to and u only have
to save me!
Thereafter, my friend
and I went to stationmaster’s office and informed him about the
book. He then immediately informed the Titwala Station Master to
check the book and let him Know. Then we waited till the Station
Master gets some information about the book.
But one main thing
which made me feel that surely Krishna won’t leave me was that, when
I entered the office room of Station Master I saw a photo of
RADHEKRISHNA indicating that I am here, don’t worry.
Thereafter we were
waiting and I was chanting continuously. And after sometime our
Station Master told us that Titwala Station Master informed him that
no such book was found in the train. Then also I was bold and sure
that Krishna is testing me that do I really believe him or not?
After Sometime, our Station Master said to me to check in the same
train which is coming back to Dombivli at 12.30 pm.
After that we went on
to platform no: 3 and waited till the train arrived. As soon as the
train came, I got in to train and checked for the book. And Guess
what ……... Of course no need to say what must have happened. I got
my book in the same place from where I have kept it.
When I saw that book my
happiness knew no bounds.
So all my dear readers,
the output from this is nothing but Total surrender to Lotus Feet
Of “LORD KRISHNA”. He is always there with all of us. Enjoy your
rest of the life by chanting his name continuously just like this-
radhekrishna
krishnaradhe radhekrishna krishnaradhe radhekrishna krishnaradhe
radhekrishna krishnaradhe radhekrishna krishnaradhe radhekrishna
krishnaradhe radhekrishna krishnaradhe radhekrishna krishnaradhe and
so on..............
And feel the Power and
Sanctity of lord Krishna With Guruji’s Grace.

devotion compelled Vitthal to give His darshan while Koormadasar was on his way
to Pandarpur.
The
blessed one who got the darshan of Vitthal along with His two bhakthaas,
Gnyaneshwar and Namdev.
